Hey 👋🏾, welcome to my corner of the internet. I'm Marlone, a Software Engineer - Backend, focused on server-side software and infrastructure.
My journey in software has taken me from building banking and enterprise applications to thinking more deeply about how scalable, distributed applications are designed. I've worked across enterprise software, banking, and fintech, primarily within the JVM ecosystem (Java, Spring Boot, Docker, K8s & AWS), building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications. Along the way, I've become increasingly interested in the engineering challenges that emerge when software needs to do more than simply work, but remain reliable, maintainable, and understandable as complexity and scale grow.
Today, I'm taking a deliberate step back to strengthen my foundations in algorithms, system design, and concepts in software architecture, building the depth and engineering judgment needed to solve challenging problems at scale.
